BENTON – Phyllis M. Hunter, 97, of Benton was reunited with her beloved spouse, Guy when she passed away peacefully on Aug. 10, 2021.Phyllis was born Jan. 22, 1924, in Benton, the oldest daughter of the late Albert E. and Ruby M. (Ranlett) Rowe in the dwelling of her late grandparents, Bernard and Vesta (Corridor) Ranlett. It was also the household of her late great-grandparents, Samuel and Ann (Stewart) Ranlett and her terrific terrific grandparents, Charles and Nancy (Roundy) Ranlett which was set up in 1831. Four generations had been born in this Ranlett homestead.Phyllis was educated in the educational facilities of Clinton, Benton, and Fairfield, graduating from Lawrence Substantial Faculty in Fairfield, class of 1942. Just after graduation she labored as a secretary for the athletic section at the previous Colby University campus in Waterville until eventually her marriage to Intestine Ivan Hunter on August 1, 1943.
